now and then. I just recently had a problem with one of my cars. I ran it out of gas the last time I let it run (its parked for an undetermined amount of time). I was lazy and hadn't put fuel in it so it hadn't been started in about a month and a half. A prospective buyer wanted to look at it so I went and got fuel. It was really, really cold that night and as soon as I started it the warm fuel hit the frozen fuel line and it cracked and split and sprayed fuel everywhere. I like to start a car about once a month or more when its parked just to keep the fluids flowing through the hoses and keep them from drying out too much (like my fuel line). it also keeps your battery charged. I did let one car sit for about 8 months without starting it or using fuel stabilizer and I had to drain all the fuel from it because it wouldn't start.
